The Infinix GT 20 Pro, is a gaming phone from Infinix that was released last June 10, 2024, and made waves across the internet for being THE gaming phone in the lower mid-range bracket of smartphones. The PR campaign was a hit, with the Infinix GT 20 Pro touted as the perfect gaming phone for Mobile Legends in the Philippines – and knowing the ML players, they love every bit of an advantage over their opponents, including superior hardware.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro has an SRP of Php 15,999, with various discounts and promos all over the year. This makes it one of the premium choices of Mobile Legends gamers out there. 5 months after it was released, can we still praise it like it was before? Or it is now overshadowed by other lower mid-range offerings? Is it still a good buy? Well, let’s dive right into our Infinix GT 20 Pro Mini-review!

Infinix GT 20 Pro features

The picture above is a set of key features of the Infinix GT 20 Pro, quite overwhelming isn’t it? Well, let us summarize it for you, the Infinix GT 20 Pro has a dedicated gaming display chipset, what does it do? Well, it allows the graphics displayed on the screen to be buttery smooth, constantly being at 144Hz as much as possible. The secondary gaming chipset helps the main GPU for graphics calculation on the display, awesome right?

The Infinix GT 20 Pro also has VC liquid cooling, IP54 resistance, and other gaming features that a gamer will certainly appreciate…but is it noteworthy for its price? Well, check out its specs below:

The specs on paper are really good actually, it is almost the same as the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G just with more gaming features which is fine especially if you are a hardcore gamer. For its SRP of Php 15,999 along with some promos and discounts all throughout, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a good choice at this price segment. It is also competing with the POCO X6 Pro 5G which is a different beast in its own right but I dare say that you should choose the Infinix GT 20 Pro if you prefer gaming features over raw hardware power.

Oh and by the way, this phone also has bypass charging, which is a huge plus for gamers.

Infinix GT 20 Pro: Is it a Good Recommendation?

So is the Infinix GT 20 Pro a good buy for its price point? Yes! Especially if you have managed to snag it in a promo like around Php 14k or even lower, it is an insanely good deal. I mentioned the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G and the POCO X6 Pro 5G in the paragraph above, those are great competitors for this phone so when should you choose the other two smartphones?

Let’s make it like this: Choose the POCO X6 Pro 5G if you want raw gaming performance in your device, opt for the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G if you are a casual gamer but loves taking photos and videos, and choose the Infinix GT 20 Pro if you are a hardcore gamer that would love various gaming features in a smartphone.

Infinix GT 20 Pro: Points for Improvement

For the Infinix GT 20 Pro, Infinix has done a great job. The specs are good, the design is decent albeit reminiscent of the Nothing phones, the PR marketing is insanely well done and yeah, it’s almost everything done right.

Maybe next time, Infinix should opt for a more unique design, as well as adding a 3.5mm headphone jack. The next Infinix GT series phone should also have the same competitiveness as this one, and I would love to see some improvements across the board without increasing its price. Better software support is also a huge plus.
