How We Review
Every review follows the same process. Devices we have not reviewed are rated on specs, price and availability, and we say so.

Two weeks minimum
No review is written on first impressions. Every review unit runs as a daily driver for at least fourteen days before we publish a verdict.

Tested for real life
Heat, commute, mobile data and all-day battery, measured the way phones are actually used.

Numbers over adjectives
“Fast” means nothing. In our reviews we report what we measured, such as battery life, charge times and heat, and let you judge.
The Pipino Power Rating
Every device is scored out of 5 golden seeds. Devices we have reviewed carry a Reviewed label; the rest are rated on specs, price and availability against rivals in the same class. Here’s what each score means.
5.0
Best in its price class. We’d spend our own money on it.
4.0
Strong value with a known trade-off we name explicitly.
3.0
Competent but beaten by something else at the same price.
2.0
Real compromises. Buy only for one specific reason.
1.0
We’d steer a friend away from it.
Editorial independence
Brands never see a review before publication and cannot change a score. Loaned units are returned or disclosed.
Corrections
We fix errors in place with a visible update note and date. Spot something wrong? Tell us and we’ll correct it.
