Presenting Infinix’s first flip phone, the Infinix ZERO Flip! With an SRP of Php 29,999, does it deserve to be called affordable in the price segment of mid-range smartphones? Let’s dive right into the Infinix ZERO Flip Mini-Review!

Apart from being quite similar to the TECNO Phantom V Flip that was released last year, the Infinix ZERO Flip managed to be different in other aspects such as improved cameras and software support(wow!).

Infinix ZERO Flip Mini-Review: A Quick Overview

Infinix ZERO Flip Mini-Review: Infinix ZERO Flip features.
Infinix ZERO Flip features

This is Infinix’s first flip phone and I can say that they have improved several aspects compared to the flip phone of their sister company(TECNO). First off, the top thing that comes to mind with its features is the 3-year security patch updates. Security patch updates are scarce with Transsion phones, especially in the entry-level category so this is a welcome change. Maybe this is also the reason why the price is quite steep.

Oh by the way, the Infinix ZERO Flip was silently launched alongside another mid-range phone, the Infinix ZERO 40 5G which has almost the same camera features. This flip phone may actually be the spiritual successor of the TECNO PHANTOM V Flip though which is not a bad idea – with several improvements across the board.

Now unto its specs sheet ~ It’s a flip phone yes, it has several improvements, especially with regards to software updates but as most mid-rangers go, the Infinix ZERO Flip lacks the necessary oomph to be a competitive option in this price point.

This flip phone is generally for show, and style, as well as some picture-taking shenanigans and that’s it. Just do not expect too much about its performance and you are good to go. Props to Infinix for its upgraded software support though.

Infinix ZERO Flip Mini-Review: Is it a good recommendation?

Let’s not hammer down too much ~ the Infinix ZERO Flip is still a good phone, you can buy this flip phone if you prefer the sleek design and portability of flip phones. Its camera setup is decent, with its 50MP selfie camera, you are guaranteed to take good portrait shots of yourself. Just stay away from this if you want a flip phone for gaming, this ain’t gonna cut it.

If you want raw performance with good cameras in this price segment, then check out the HONOR 200 Pro as well as the POCO F6 Pro for superior gaming performance. And if you just want to have a flip phone but lack the budget, then try out the TECNO PHANTOM V Flip. It’s just, that the Infinix ZERO Flip is not a good recommendation for most peeps especially if you want a bang for your buck type of smartphone.

Infinix ZERO Flip Mini-Review: Points for Improvement

Better hardware and ventilation would be good, we have heard reports that the Infinix ZERO Flip becomes warm when casual gaming, and hotter than usual…DYOR(do your own research) about it. Just make it more competitive Infinix, we know you can do it. The software support is a HUGE plus but…you have to do more than that.
