A Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra wannabe? Or it is an entry-level smartphone worthy of being called a flagship? Well, let’s dive right into the itel S25 Ultra Mini-Review, where we literally review a smartphone’s specs on paper.

The itel S25 Ultra was released last November 10, 2024, in the Philippines for a suggested retail price of Php 10,999 but it can be reduced through various discounts in online stores. Is it a good deal? Perhaps, check out its specs and features first ~ this is not a Samsung Galaxy phone but its design is quite endearing, to say the least.

For an entry-level smartphone, there are quite a lot of features, but nope. These features are only basic features found in your usual Android device. Probably the noteworthy ones are the “protection”, IP64 rating, Infrared port, the “60-month fluency” and its slim factor as well as bypass charging(which is not seen in the image above but is included in its list of features on their website).

The “60-month fluency” is quite a sham really, why would you buy an entry-level phone to use for 5 years? Trust me, the itel S25 Ultra will not even last for 2 years. Software improvements and efficiency are a good thing, but this marketing tactic for recent phone releases is not it. Maybe if you do not use it extensively every day, maybe and JUST MAYBE it will last for years, but yeah…do not expect too much from a phone with a “fluency rating”, especially if it is an entry-level smartphone.

Now unto its specifications ~ the itel S25 Ultra looks decent on paper but for its SRP, it just won’t cut it. If you have managed to snag this on sale and would love its Samsung Galaxy-like design, then this is a great phone for you. A curved AMOLED display for its price is a plus though, not bad for itel.

Is the itel S25 Ultra a Good Recommendation?

So is the itel S25 Ultra a good recommendation? Well, if you prioritize buying a smartphone with good aesthetics and design, the itel S25 Ultra is a great choice. To be honest, this smartphone has the most drip of all entry-level phones. No, seriously, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra now has a competition for better drip ~ jk.

If you prefer raw performance and features, then there are other options out there in this price segment such as the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ for better hardware but the same display, TECNO SPARK 30 Pro for better hardware and a different design, and the ZTE Blade A75 5G with better hardware, is cheaper, and also, has a different design.

Points for Improvement for the itel S25 Ultra

The itel S25 Ultra is decent, the design is great, and the hardware is good, but it lacks that oomph for being a competitive entry-level performer. The camera design is a good trick, it gives the illusion that the phone has 5 camera lenses but in reality, it only has 3. But maybe, itel could make its internal hardware better? I think they can push more into their budget for their entry-level “flagships”.

Because let’s not kid ourselves, Filipino buyers on a budget want an entry-level smartphone with better performance compared to other phones in its price segment. A Helio G99 would have been great, it’s not much but it’s a good upgrade. A phone with the best drip and a decent performance will go a long way.

This itel S25 Ultra Mini-Review is only a glance, an impression of its specifications and features on paper. Finding other full reviews will be a great help for your future smartphone of choice.
