Apple TV 4K has a confirmed ₱21,990 Philippine price, but its local release date remains unannounced. The fourth-generation streaming box gets an A19 chip, while the Philippines is absent from the initial Siri AI rollout.
Apple announced the model on Oct. 13. Its Philippine announcement lists the device as coming soon, so the price should not be read as confirmation of local stock.
Apple TV 4K availability differs by market
In the US and selected markets, preorders opened on the announcement date, with store availability beginning Nov. 13. Apple lists the US price at $299.
That international schedule does not establish a Philippine launch date. For local buyers following Apple hardware, the remaining question is when official sales will begin here.
What the A19 chip changes
Apple claims up to 50% faster CPU performance and twice the GPU performance compared with the previous generation. It also adds dedicated AV1 decoding for compatible video streams.
Those figures describe Apple’s performance claims, rather than independent testing. Actual loading times and gaming performance still depend on the app or game.
The Philippine specifications list 128GB of storage, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Gigabit Ethernet and Thread networking. Video output reaches 4K at 60fps, with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and other listed formats.
A compatible display remains necessary for 4K and HDR playback. An HDMI cable is required and sold separately, so buyers should check their existing setup before ordering.
Siri AI is not confirmed for the Philippines
Apple’s US announcement lists Siri AI as an English-language beta in eight initial markets: the US, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and the UK.
The Philippines is not included. Apple has not supplied a Philippine rollout date in the announcements reviewed.
There is another important distinction for existing owners: Apple lists Siri AI support for second-generation Apple TV 4K models and later. In supported markets, the software feature therefore extends beyond the new hardware.
Gaming and home features need compatible hardware
The technical specifications confirm support for compatible game controllers. However, that does not establish compatibility with every game available on other Apple devices. Check the tvOS version of a title before buying it for television gaming.
The box also works as an Apple Home hub. The updated remote adds Find My features, although Precision Finding requires a compatible iPhone and is subject to regional availability.
Why it matters
For Philippine buyers, the useful distinction is between the hardware being offered locally and the software available in their region. A confirmed price answers one buying question. It does not resolve the release date or access to every feature promoted internationally.
