PS Plus October 2026 brings Mafia: The Old Country, a returning Horizon Forbidden West and day-one PS5 release Mycopunk to Sony’s Game Catalog. Most additions are scheduled for Oct. 20, with exceptions.
Sony announced the lineup on Oct. 14. Before renewing, check your subscription tier and account’s regional store. This is a catalog announcement, separate from the Monthly Games benefit.
PS Plus October 2026 games and release dates
The following schedule comes from PlayStation’s announcement. It is not a verified list for every Asian storefront.
| Game | Platform | Announced date | Catalog tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mafia: The Old Country | PS5 | Oct. 20 | Extra / Premium |
| Horizon Forbidden West | PS5, PS4 | Oct. 20 | Extra / Premium |
| Mycopunk | PS5 | Oct. 20 | Extra / Premium |
| Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 | PS5, PS4 | Oct. 27: US/UK/JP | Extra / Premium |
| The Midnight Walk | PS5 | Oct. 14: US/UK; Oct. 15: JP | Extra / Premium |
| Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition | PS5, PS4 | Oct. 27: US/UK/JP | Extra / Premium |
| Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game | PS5 | Oct. 27: US/UK/JP | Extra / Premium |
| Dino Crisis 2 | PS5, PS4 | Oct. 20 | Premium |
| RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition | PS5, PS4 | Oct. 20 | Premium |
The default date is Oct. 20 unless Sony lists an exception. The Oct. 27 entries are specifically dated for the US, UK and Japan. The Midnight Walk has separate dates for those markets. Sony warns that regional lineups can differ.
Mycopunk is a day-one addition on PS5. Horizon Forbidden West is returning to the catalog, rather than making its first appearance.
Which PS Plus tier do you need?
The main Game Catalog lineup is for Extra and higher eligible tiers. The announcement places Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition under Premium.
In Singapore, Sony uses Deluxe for its top tier. Its support page confirms that Extra includes the Game Catalog, while Deluxe adds the Classics Catalog. That naming difference does not confirm every announced classic for Singapore.
Essential includes Monthly Games, but it does not include the broader Game Catalog. If you subscribe at that level, check the upgrade screen before assuming the October catalog is included.
What Philippine players should check
Start with the country or region registered to your PlayStation account. Sony’s account guide explains how to find it in Account Management under Your Information and Residential Address.
Then open the corresponding PlayStation Store and check the specific game. Confirm the console version, subscription badge and local release date before paying for an upgrade. An announcement for another market does not settle those details.
For readers in the Philippines, the table above is an international announcement, not a guarantee for your account. Check the regional catalog before subscribing, especially if one specific game is the reason you want to join.
Catalog access is different from owning a game
Sony says catalog games can leave the service. Access also requires an active eligible subscription. Adding a title to your library is not a permanent purchase license.
That makes your available playtime a useful part of the decision. Pick the game you intend to start, check access in your store, then compare the subscription cost with buying it outright. A longer list is only useful if you have time to play it.

Frequently asked questions
Does PS Plus Essential include this lineup?
No. Essential’s Monthly Games benefit is separate. You need Extra or a higher eligible plan for the main Game Catalog.
Will every game arrive on Oct. 20?
No. Use the schedule above and check your store. Several entries have explicitly different dates, and availability varies by region.
Can I keep playing after a game leaves the catalog?
Catalog access does not grant permanent ownership. Check the game’s store listing if you want to buy it and continue separately from the subscription.
Why it matters
The useful question is which game you can play through your existing plan. Check access first, then decide whether the lineup justifies a renewal or upgrade. Follow our Gaming coverage for more console and game updates.
