Monster Hunter Outlanders launches globally on Oct. 29, 2026, on iOS and Android. The official launch notice confirms the date and describes a free-to-play hunting game built by Timi Studio Group under license from Capcom. This is a mobile spin-off, not a port of the console games. It sets new Adventurers and exclusive monsters on a new island called Aesoland.

Where it launches, including the Philippines

Garena publishes the game in Southeast Asia. Lowyat.net lists Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines among the Garena regions, and One More Game reported the same three markets when web pre-registration opened in July. Philippine players were also part of the third closed beta.

Players in the Philippines should pick the Garena listing. The Philippine App Store page names Garena Online Private Ltd as the developer and shows the game as free with in-app purchases, rated 13+.

Garena or global version?

There are two separate editions. Per Pocket Gamer, Garena runs Southeast Asia and other regions, while Level Infinite (Tencent) runs the global version for North America, Japan and Europe. The global Google Play listing names Level Infinite as the publisher.

Accounts and server data are separate, and the pre-download notes say data cannot be transferred between regions. Cross-region play is not supported, so check which edition your friends use before you start. Pre-registration is open for both versions through each region’s official site.

What you play

The official notice describes a survival hunting action game with returning weapons and hunt styles from earlier Monster Hunter games. It adds new Adventurers, Buddies and monsters exclusive to this title, all in a new story. You can hunt alone or form a squad of up to four, per the store listings.

The Philippine App Store listing names eight weapon types: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Charge Blade, Heavy Bowgun and Bow. More weapons are planned for future updates. Inven Global reports two control modes, and the Tokyo Game Show 2026 trailer showed a new original monster named Ruger Aidal.

In-app purchases

The game is free to download, but both stores flag in-app purchases. The global Google Play listing adds a notice that purchases include random items. Check the price and details of any purchase before you confirm it. Lowyat.net noted that the pre-registration rewards point to gacha-style mechanics, which is the author’s inference, not a confirmed detail.

Can your phone run it?

The official recommendation is iOS 17 or later, or Android 12 or later, with at least 6GB of RAM. These are recommendations, not a guaranteed minimum for every device. The Philippine App Store lists iOS 15.0 or later as the install requirement, so the two figures differ.

The 3.5GB figure is the App Store download size. It does not show the total space the game will use after installation or any extra downloads, so leave spare storage. We could not confirm an Android size for the Garena edition.

Pre-registration rewards

Pre-registration on the App Store and Google Play is free. The Garena pre-registration page ties rewards to social follower milestones. They include Standard Contracts, Zenny and the Adventurer Raya. Lowyat.net reported the community was one milestone away from Raya. Check the page for the current tally, because it changes.

Why it matters

Monster Hunter has mostly lived on consoles and PC. A free-to-play version with squads of four and controller support gives mobile players a licensed way in. Real quality, monetization and server stability will only show after launch, so wait for early player reports before spending money. We have not tested a server login ourselves. When does Monster Hunter Outlanders release?

The official notice gives Oct. 29, 2026 for the global launch. Pocket Gamer reports servers open at 6 a.m. Philippine time, based on the official pre-download notice.

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders free?

Yes. It is free to download on iOS and Android, with in-app purchases that include random items.

Can I play with friends on a different version?

Not across regions. Garena and Level Infinite run separate editions with independent server data, and cross-region play is not supported.

How big is the download?

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders coming to PC or console?

No. The official sources reviewed list only iOS and Android.
